Conductor diameter 0.785mm. Aluminum shielded, PE insulation and outer-sheath, steel tape armour, rated voltage 750/1100V.

Overview

The size of conductor is 0.785sq mm. It is aluminum shielded cable with skin-foaming-skin physical foaming polyolefin insulation,steel tape armour, and PE outer-sheath. For this digital signal cable, there are two types which are A and B. The type B means the each quad is internal shielded. And for type A, there are some quad internal shielded which is used for coded track circuit and some cores are non- shielded which is used for Auto signal.

The cable can realize transmission of 1MHz (analog signal), 2Mbit/s (digital signal) and rated voltage AC 750V or DC 1100V and below.

Structure

1)        Conductor

Conductor wire shall be of annealed soft copper wire with size of 0.785 sq mm, which shall conform to per IEC 60228 regulations.

2)         Insulation

Insulation adopts “skin-foaming-skin” three layer co-extruding physical foaming insulation structure which air bubble distributes evenly, thickness and material properties comply with product standard of TB/T 3100 - Railway digital signal cable(China Railway standard ).

3)        Pair or quad

- Pair composes of 2 different colour insulated cores stranded together.

- Star quad composes of 4 insulated cores with different colour stranded together. Spiral quads with different stranding space are boned with moisture proof yarn or tape in different color. Stranding space is not less than 300mm.

- Pair and quad are all left direction stranding.

- Shield quad composes of spiral quad and shield layer. Shield layer adopts soft copper tape nominal thickness 0.1mm.

- Shield layer of copper tape is longitudinally wrapped. A fine copper wire as drain wire dia. not less than 0.4mm is laid next to copper tape. Copper tape is neatly wrapped by 1 layer of moisture proof non metal material.

4)        Cable Cores

Outer layer of cores are stranded with right direction, which of neighbors is reversed, exempt from 4 cores cable.

Cable cores are wrapped with moisture non-absorption insulation material

5)        Al sheath

Heating proof layer: Moisture non absorption material or extruding PE sheath is allowable outside cable cores, Thickness of heating proof layer confirms to insulation requirements.

Outside Al sheath is covered with thermal melt glue or other corrosive resistant material, and extruding the plastic sheath not less than 1.0mm,Other moisture proof material wrapping is also allowable.

Al sheath thickness is not less than 1.1mm.

6)        Armor layer

Cable should have galvanized steel,two layer wrapping as overlapping. The thickness is 0.5±0.04mm.

7)        Outer sheath

An over-sheath of single extrusion PE with termite-proof material shall be applied around the armour steel tapeas per IEC 60502.
