Conductor diameter 1.0mm, shielded, PE insulation and outer sheath, steel tape armour, rated voltage 600/1000V

Overview

The diameter of conductor is 1.0mm. It is composite shielded signal cable with PE insulation, composite sheath, steel tape armour, and PE outer-sheath. The rated voltage of cable is 600/1000V.

Structure:

1)        Conductor

The conductor shall be solid circular and formed from plain annealed copper as per IEC 60228.

2)        Insulation

The insulation shall be PE.

3)        Laying up

Inter-twist uniformly by twisted pair, quad and insulated single wire.The cores shall be laid up with a right-hand direction of lay. The interstices shall be filled with suitable non-hygroscopic fillers to give the completed cable with a substantial circular cross-section. A layer polyester tape shall be applied around the cable cores.

4)        Screen

AL-Plastic laminated composite tape shall be sufficient to provide reduction factor not more than 0.3 with field strength of 100 V/Km.

5)        Bedding

The cable core shall be covered with extruded PE bedding which shall be formed tightly around the cable screen, which complies with requirement of IEC 60502.

6)        Armour

The armour shall consist of two layers of steel tape applied helically.

7)        Over-sheath

An over-sheath of single extrusion PE with termite-proof material shall be applied around the armour steel tape as per IEC 60502.
